One of our installations, “Kyoto Meets New England – An Entrance Courtyard”, will be recognized at the international conference for the Association of Professional Landscape Designers next week in Boston!
The winning installation was designed by Christie Dustman and Company and installed by Senior Landscape Construction Crew Leader, José Flores.
In addition to being featured in Design New England Magazine, this North Reading, MA installation has now received APLD’s world class Silver Award for International Landscape Design for 2017.
The Japanese-inspired garden includes meticulously installed granite slabs, drawing together driveway, courtyard, and house.
The judges commented,
“This project has beautiful materials used well. I especially liked the paving pattern and joints filled with moss. An interesting design concept and implementation…Overall a functional and aesthetic project.”
Congratulations, José, to you and your crew!
The APLD International Landscape Design Awards Program honors excellence in landscape design. Projects in eight different categories are judged on the basis of difficulty, craftsmanship, attention to detail and execution.
